This seems really awesome to me! I’ve been enjoying reading about this here! It looks like these folks make LXC also, wow. Many years ago I ran a VPS on LXC and it ran very stable. I know that the new version of Proxmox will now run LXC containers native. You can read about the Proxmox news here if interested. He did a great write up about it. I’ve yet to try Proxmox. I’m very happy with Bhyve for my simple needs. ...

Wow I almost missed this one! If it were not for a pop-up on my phone. Normally only of my ham buddy’s will let me know. I might have had my radio off if anybody announced it 😔. I was not expecting to make any contact’s! I actually got one I manged to see K4NCO pop up on 6 meters! I got a reply right away, considering he was only 30 miles away 🤣 😂! I have actually talked to him on our local 2 meter repeater before. It took me a while to realize that though! I hope I can catch him on the air again when he’s mobile! ...

Chimera Linux

It’s been years since I’ve tried a new Linux distribution! 🐧 I had an old laptop laying around so what could it hurt right? You can read the about it. Software Source Compiler and runtime stack LLVM C standard library Musl with mimalloc Core userland FreeBSD Init and services Dinit + custom tooling Audio stack PipeWire Desktop environment GNOME ##AMAZING I stole that list right from the site. I’ve only ran musl on Gentoo and Void before. I’ve always been interested in that. It’s always fun to try out new init systems too! As of writing this I’ve used it quite a bit. I was worried about having to mostly just use flatpaks. The only downside I found was lack of nvidia GPU support. No worries this is the ONLY machine with a nvidia GPU that I have! I was not trying to play video games or render anything so it did not matter to me. ...

Oniux tor via Linux namespaces

For many years I’ve ran a relay for the Tor project. Some people say it’s bad. It can be used for good and evil. The same as any other tool. Hetzner used to give me 20TB a month but they ended up turning that down to 2TB per month. For a $5/Month service that seems to be the norm for US, that I’ve found. Oniux via rust I noticed a post about Oniux on Mastodon. Is this the same concept that FreeBSD uses for Jails? I recall hearing namespace in the handbook and FreeBSD Mastery: Jails! Go get some of his books so he can buy some food for his rats. He has great skill to break down topics simply. All the books are DRM free you can get them here. ...
