I’ve managed to get flrig setup with my ft991a. It’s pretty awesome how it works. You just pipe all the other program configurations into it! It was a little intimidating at first but it’s dead simple. I used this guide here So far the programs I’ve managed to run are wsjtx, js8call, direwolf, xastir. I’ve also managed to pipe the audio from the radio into mumble. So now I can operate vhf/uhf/hf all remote ssb, digital or cw. I have not attempted remote ssb or cw. Aside from just listening. It took me a while to realize the hf audio coming out of my cellphone! That euphoria is a great feeling. Like when you finally fix something after hours troubleshooting. ...

I’ve started physical therapy and I think it’s helping 🏋️. That gives me some hope. I’m going to do whatever they tell me to. I just want to work full time and hang out with my friends. I want to get back into running. I’m walking faster now. I always walked really fast. Maybe running is possible? We shall summon Chuck Norris and Rocky and see! I’ve been researching Tai Chi also. Lot’s of folks say it’s great for fibro. I signed back up for cw academy too. That’s always fun to do. Looking forward to meeting some new people. I met another novice cw op here in town. This is so awesome! I’ve always wondered if something like this existed. I’ve done something similar with email spammers. I’m real excited to see what comes of this project. I switched to vanilla FreeBSD once TureNAS went to scale. I’ve enjoyed the experience because I’ve learned more about the underlying system. You can read more about the project here. I have not messed with it yet. However I do finally have bhyve working. I used the vm-bhyve scripts. It was pretty seamless once I RTFM.

When my hands get bad Vim helps to me keep working. It’s also modular in a sense that there are plugins for most common tools for Vim like bindings. Even for the likes of whole window managers with the Vim bindings! You can effectively turn your mouse into a door stop. 🐭 It sure makes the experience more enjoyable and efficient. I do not code much at all anymore. I had a linter installed on my main machine. It was not ale either. I went looking for it but I can’t find it. Many years ago I changed the default IPMI password for my TrueNAS mini from iXsystems. They no longer are developing the FreeBSD based version TrueNAS Core. I decided to switch to vanilla FreeBSD. I ended up finding in the Wiki linked below. You have to load the IPMI kernel module manually! That’s why I enjoy running the system vanilla bare metal. It only loads the minimum. For many years I’ve ran a relay for the Tor project. Some people say it’s bad. It can be used for good and evil. The same as any other tool. Hetzner used to give me 20TB a month but they ended up turning that down to 2TB per month. For a $5/Month service that seems to be the norm for US, that I’ve found.
